Six two-storey three and five bedrooms homes have been built through the Phase 1 works of Netherton Farm, along with a two-storey building comprising six two bedroom flats.
Traditional materials and forms were used due to the rural location and these are contrasted against contemporary detailing to create a modern development. Large areas of glazing and balconies are positioned towards the breathtaking views across the surrounding Perthshire countryside.
The houses were organised in a loose, unconstrained layout with the dwellings stepping through the site to create a natural relationship to each other. It was hoped this arrangement would encourage relationships between the neighbours, to create a village community within the development.

We have been working with our Client the last few years to complete the erection of four new steading dwellings at Totleywells Cottages just outside Winchburgh. Originally an outbuilding to the rear of the existing cottages, this has been transformed into a modern version of a traditional steading with high specification interiors including the use of renewable energy by way of air source heat pumps.
This new build along with the upgrade of the existing cottages has formed a secluded and contemporary development with views of the Queensferry Crossing.
We are currently working with the Client to upgrade the original cottage to tie this through with the rest of the development.
